Steve's last two feature efforts have garnered Sundance nominations in 2016 and 2018.
The Macro and Nas produced, hard-hitting drama about skate gangs in Cleveland, THE LAND, starring Erykah Badu, Kim Coates, and Michael K Williams premiered in 2016 and was picked up by IFC.
In 2017 Steve wrapped his most recent feature, the Sundance political drama A BOY, A GIRL, A DREAM starring Omari Hardwick and Megan Good, lensed the Leonardo DiCaprio produced Netflix Docu-Series FIRE CHASERS, about front-line fire fighters during the dramatic 2016 SoCal wildfires, and also shot on the Katherine Bigelow HBO pilot MOGADISHU, MINNESOTA.
His photography has been featured this year in GQ and Vogue and his cinematography in Moviemaker, Filmmaker, and No Film School.
Steve has an MFA in Cinematography from USC and is a 2008 Thomas J. Watson Fellow awardee which inspired Steve's first film project. For that feature he spent a year traveling through costal communities in Samoa, Chile, and New Zealand documenting the impacts of commercial over-fishing in the South Pacific.
Steve is a member of IATSE Local 600.
